I was not going to start writing or even think of any excuses for my lack of.....what should I say? Apart from lacking of keeping my own promises to my own self to update this blog properly, apparently I was also lacking of vitamin B and D! Being a brown person, I never thought that it could happen to me, but guess what, I was told by someone (which by now I can not remember who) that everyone in Tasmania is lacking in the vitamin D department. I was really feeling down for more than a couple of weeks and I couldn't understand why. Someone said that maybe am getting my menopouse! "@#%%$%@#%@#^!!!! Can't be!" so said I, "I am way too young (just ignore the fact that I have more grey hair than black by now!)"
Anyhow, but it all made sense to me, especially since I haven't been out much from the my almost ready to be occupied sewing, cum computer , cum painting, cum shoes making, cum dogs' favourite-warm in the cold winter dayssleepover room, only had one big window but got hardly any sunlight. Yes, it was almost ready, but I have occupied the room anyway once the table and shelves were up.
I have been doing many things apart from eating cakes and chocolate. I have made few dotty beads for my cuttlery handle sets, few door knobs (some with dragon heads), many slippers and also just started trying my hands on leather sandals. So I haven't been idle.
Before all those beads and footwear, I have been making this glass sculpture which was mostly made from any green and brown glass bottles I can get my hands on (although I did tell people that I was just using it as an excuse so I can drink more! :D). The result was as what you can see on the pics I attached on this posting. My beloved called her Getrude, which is shorter than the title I gave for her. There were some parts of her that I wasn't really happy with, so I might do some adjustments on her But am not in a hurry tho', coz making her has caused me aching shoulders and arms.
Until next time, hopefully with some pictures of new things.....
